| Richard Steel served 20 years in the Royal Air Force leaving as Engineering Manager. He helped run the RAF Sailing Association for many years culminating in the post of Fleet Manager. |

| He also held the post of Senior Offshore Racing Skipper with the RAF Sailing Association where he was personally responsible for four yachts and made sure they complied with MCA requirements. He now runs his own company that includes yacht deliveries, instruction and is one of the demo skippers for J Boats UK. |

Richard holds Yachtmaster Offshore with Commercial Endorsement and is a qualified instructor. He has skippered a wide variety of yachts including numerous trips across the channel and in the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea. His aim is to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable sail with Direct Charters and will get you as involved in the sailing of the yacht as you want. |
